750MHz Solid-state NMR Spectrometer

750 MHz Spectrometer

The 750 MHz spectrometer employs a Magnex 54mm bore superconducting magnet. The spectrometer console is a Bruker Avance three channel system with one kilowatt amplifiers at each channel that allows the system to perform solid-state NMR. The spectrometer is equipped with a magic-angle-spinning control module designed to manage the latest generation of Bruker MAS probes, which are built to operate in standard bore magnets. The system includes all the necessary hardware for variable temperature solution and solid-state operation. In addition to the Bruker equipment, this spectrometer is outfitted with a home built transmit and receive circuit utilizing a Miteq preamplifier, which are semi-rigid coaxial quarter waves and diodes optimized for the static solid-state NMR experiments frequently performed within the laboratory. For solid-state NMR, two home-built 15N, 1H probes are available and can be configured with round or flat coils. A Bruker triple resonance dedicated to 15N, 13C, 1H 4 mm MAS probes is also available. For solution NMR operations, two probes are available: a triple resonance 15N, 13C, 1H, 2H 5 mm probe equipped with xyz gradients and a X, 1H 2H broad-banded probe equipped with a z gradient.
