The 900 MHz spectrometer utilizes a Magnex 52mm bore superconducting magnet. The spectrometer is a Bruker Avance three channel system with one kilowatt amplifiers at each channel that allows the system to perform solid-state NMR. Two home-built double resonance 15N and 1H probes are available in both round and flat coil configurations. In addition to the Bruker equipment, this spectrometer is outfitted with a home built transmit and receive circuit that employs a Miteq preamplifier. These are semi-rigid coaxial quarter waves and diodes optimized for the static solid-state NMR experiments routinely performed in the laboratory. Variable temperature operation is accomplished by the Bruker variable temperature controller. |
