On a continuing
basis, positions as undergraduate research assistants, graduate
research assistants, and postdoctoral research associates are
available. UCSD undergraduate students in engineering and
scientific disciplines can be involved with independent study
projects or part-time jobs during the academic year. During the
summer, full-time jobs are available for undergraduate students.
The graduate student positions are associated with the Ph.D.
program in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry.
Postdoctoral positions are available in the areas of solid-state
NMR spectroscopy of proteins, solution NMR spectroscopy of
proteins, structure determination of membrane proteins, and the
structural biology of membrane proteins, heavy metal
detoxification, and phage display of peptides.
