Introduction:
The challenges in developing the probes for solid-state NMR spectroscopy in standard bore magnet are many. These include high-power requirements for multiple-pulse experiments, large tuning ranges to accommodate biological samples, limited space availability because of narrow-bore magnet, and the need for high-efficiency. The VT (variable temperature) capability for biological samples also places a premium on space.
